Clancy & Theys Construction Company recently completed an interior fit-up for the Poyner Family YMCA in downtown Raleigh. The new facility includes street level access and 2 basement/concourse levels 777 slot machineof existing 10 story building constructed in 1965 in the heart of downtown Raleigh. The basement/concourse level 1 (visible from plaza curtainwall glass) fit-up space has been home to banks over the years including walk-in vaults. The projects includes a cafe, state-of-the-art locker room and saunas, administrative areas, workout/fitness studios, wellness areas, sprinting track, and more. The scope includes the selective free slot gamesdemolition of approximately 32,000 SF of existing street level and two basement levels to facilitate the fit-up of the new storefront facility. Clancy & Theys also constructed a new mezzanine from the existing street level mezzanine space for use a conference room with interior glass storefront walls overlooking the level 1 concourse/basement fitness area.
