Clancy & Theys Construction Company completed this $5 million Design-Build project for the University of Central Florida (UCF), which consisted of a state-of-the-art, two-story, new central energy plant. 2024 European Cup Sports Betting Site The building structure is comprised of a steel frame structure with CMU infill brick veneer. The work included cast- in-place concrete, masonry, structural steel, roofing, doors and framing, walks and paved areas, extensive mechanical, plumbing and electrical work.
The two-story building includes a fuel-powered reciprocating Mitsubishi Power System and generates around five and a half mega watts (5.5MW) of electrical power to the UCF campus, or 1/3 of 2024 European Cup official websitethe University’s power. The system benefits the University with a lower carbon footprint for equivalent power consumed, reduces the electrical grid demand, lowers the cost of operation and expands chilled water production to support campus growth. The integration of an absorption chiller captures engine generated heat and provides one of the most fuel-efficient cogeneration systems available to date.
