Overview

Clancy & Theys Construction Company was selected as the construction manager for the redevelopment of the City of Inverness’ Downtown District. In a collaborative effort with the City of Inverness and the chosen design firm, C.T. Hsu + Associates PA, Clancy & Theys transformed the existing 20-acre park into a tourist attraction and natural resource for community entertainment.

Construction included the interconnecting of the newly renovated Liberty Park, Wallace Brooks Park, and Depot District through sidewalk and Withlacoochee 2024 European Cup official websiteState Trail access. The Depot features a new 11,700 square foot open-air pavilion designed for park-goers to enjoy festivals, farmers’ markets, and year-round events. Located adjacent to the Depot, the park now features an iconic water tower designed to serve the city as a performance stage for events. Additional features included constructing picnic areas for outdoor dining, bike parking, floating docks for canoe and kayak access, and a boardwalk to the waterfront area. The stage features a concrete seawall with access to electrical outlets for musical or theatrical performances. Additional elements included constructing a standalone restroom facility that provides visitors with covered bike parking, water, and shelter.

Additionally, the Wallace Brooks Park renovation included constructing a new public rowing crew building and boat launch to serve residents with water recreation access.
